We booked our hotel in Athens very last minute, so it wasn’t cheap. I remember it being about 200+ Euros a night, but we felt lucky to be in a hotel right in Syntagma Square and to even find a hotel at such short notice. in May, which is the perfect time to visit Athens. It’s not too hot yet.
NJV ATHENS PLAZA HOTEL
The room interiors of this 5 star hotel was quite traditional, compared to the modern hotels we usually stay in, but it was clean, convenient and spacious, which is most important for us. There is even a balcony, but I forgot to take a pic. There was an underground station and bus stops nearby, planty of eating options, apothecaries (pharmacies) nearby and an ATM machine.
HOTEL ROOM
There was also a lot of closet space, which meant that we didn’t clutter up the room with our stuff so much.

WELL STOCKED MINI BAR

BATHROOM
The bathroom is a little dated, but it was clean. I was fascinated by the built in blow dryer. I loved the complimentary toiletries, which were made of natural local ingredients. They were nice on my sensitive, highly allergic skin.

I often wonder if they have renovated this hotel already. If they have then I would recommend it even more.
