Also known as EL TRÉBOL or Churreria J.Balcells, this was right around the corner from our hotel so it was our go to for mid afternoon snacks or merienda during our trip. Little did we know that this little open air churrería is an institution in Barcelona! We just felt so lucky that everything here was delicious and super affordable!

Here you will also find churros filled with different flavours such as dulce de leche or vanilla. The chocolate covered porras was our favorite. Though we should have tried the others, but we are creatures of habit!

We like to eat in the same placed wherever neighborhood we stay in so that by the end of our stay we are already familiar to the owners and staff. We prefer eating where the locals eat and having a regular suki that we get to know during our stay. Xurreria Trebol was our regular place for snacks!
