If you are planning to head over to Winterfeldtplatz Farmers Market for the Saturday Farmers Market today to do some fresh produce shopping, another place to check out is the Berlin Burrito Company nearby. TD and I love Mexican and we didn’t have many options for Mexican in Jakarta.
We like sitting outside when it’s a pleasant day. The place is casual, with a small menu and it’s self service. Head on to the counter, grab your drink of choice from the chiller and order your meal.
They have a step by step process for ordering. Choose the dish you want (Burrito, Burrito Bowl, Quesedilla, Salad or Soup) then you choose what kind of salsa, rice, beans/veggies, meat and sauce to go with it. Tons of options! I posted a close up crop of the Menu board below for your reference. We tried the quesedilla (the black beans with cheese, habanero tomato and sour cream dip were delish!) and 2 kinds of burritos. Personally I prefer the sour cream sauce on the burrito because I find the cheese to dry. Having tasted different flavor combinations, I think next time I will order Burrito with habanero tomato, lime rice, black beans, barbecue chicken and sour cream. I think it’s fun going and trying different combinations of the same dish!
The facade:
I cannot say that it is mind blowing or authentic and there were some items that weren’t available in their already slim menu, however this restaurant has reasonable prices, big portions, a clean toilet, good food and a great location near our favorite farmers market. Very convenient!

How fun! I love burritos!! Near the farmer’s market is definitely convenient.
Thanks for the tip! I am always lurking around looking for anything resembling good Mexican food in Berlin. Their menu seems quite similar to Dolores – have you tried them yet? They provide Mission style San Francisco Mexican which is different from authentic Mexican, but delicious.
