We went to Street Food Thursdays in search of Bao Kitchen’s amazing Taiwanese Pork Gua Baos – trust me they are worth braving the crowded Markthalle Neun during Thursdays! After we had our fill of the Classic Bao, we tried as many other goodies as we could till our bellies were full. Our strategy is to get only one dish from each stall and share it, so we can taste many different dishes.
Schöner Trinken
For a glass of wine or some prosecco, head over to Schöner Trinken. I love that their glasses have their logo on them and that you can tell them the kind of wine you are looking for and they let you have a taste before you ask for the full glass. They have a €3 Pfand or deposit. You get it back once you return their glasses. Next time I’d like to find the Heidenpeters brewed beers that Ebe wrote about on her blog.
Tapas La Casuella
Right beside Schöner Trinken is our favorite Tapas La Casuella, where you can get a cold cuts and cheese platter to pair with your wine. Chorizos – YUM! Read about the other food we’ve tried at Tapas La Casualle HERE.
Mr. Susan Ramen Bar
Then there is Mr. Susan Ramen Bar for some Korean-style ramen lovingly prepared by thie cutest couple. Who were game enough to let me take photos and smile for the camera – I love them already.
The K-Town Ramen is €6 each bowl. This is definitely Asian comfort food! And the Beef n’ Bacon Broth – SAY WHUT!! =D
Pettirossi Catering
Another dish I tried for the first time in Street Food Thursday are fried risotto balls from Pettirossi Catering. We got the one that is vegetarian and filled with tons of cheese! I love rice and I love cheese so this was lovely for me. I definitely want to come back to try their Cannoli Siciliani mit Schafsricotta und Schokolade (with Ricotta and Chocolate) – doesn’t it sound like heaven?
FOOD TO TRY NEXT TIME
Other food that we wanted to try, but had not more space for is the Old Dirty Bastartd Burger…
…and the Steak and Guinness Pie from Hello Good Pie that someone in the table beside us was enjoying – I just had to ask him what he was eating haha!
What are you favorite things to eat in Berlin’s Street Food Thursdays? Tell me about it! I’d love to hear from you!

I couldn’t find Mr. Susan and Schoner Trinken‘s details online. Will update this post when I find their details.
This looks awesome! I really wanted to do this during my last visit, but Thursday was our Badeschiff day, haha.
