I usually write about book when I finish reading them, but I’m so excited about The Happiness Project that I wanna write about it now. As of the date of writing this post I just finished Chapter 3: March “Aim Higher” which is related to Work. But I’ve had so many “AHA” moments already that I wanna read it slower so I can absorb the practical nuggets of wisdom.
Sorry about the quality of the photo. Not sure why the book cover is not so clear. I’m also showing you a picture of the bookmark that I made when I was starting this book. I’m so happy with it because I don’t like normal bookmarks that fall off… so I decided to make my own! I used a piece of leather string, some beads & shell, pliers and voilà! A bookmark that doesn’t fall from the book!
Let me start with this: You don’t need to be unhappy or depressed to appreciate this book. You don’t have to be in an Eat Pray Love stage of pain or at the lowest point in your life. Though if you are, I’m sure you’ll benefit from this book too!
There are times in your life that you have everything you could ever wish for, but notice that you are always stressed. And sometime you reach your goal but then here comes another goal… another mountain to climb. Or you are relatively happy but wanna be happier. Who doesn’t wanna be happier?
This is NOT one of those books that teach you how to get stuff in life. Just practical little (not overwhelming) things you can do to be happier now, with whatever you’ve got. It’s an easy, light and enjoyable to read.
Just to give you an idea… I’m currently totally tripping on THE ONE MINUTE RULE. Check it out!
