MADRID BITES: Chök Goya

April 16, 2022

After a lot of shopping & walking we passed by this beautiful chocolate shop in Goya. I’m always attracted by beautiful minimalist design so I said let’s have some sweets here for merienda (afternoon snack) so we can have more energy for walking.

The store display was divine. It’s exactly the kind of place I would want to eat in. If you’re into handmade, small-batch, vegan, natural ingredients with gluten-free and low-sugar options, this place is for you!

They have everything a chocoholic or someone with a sweet tooth can dream of. From donuts, cronuts, cookies, cake pops, truffles to even vegan donuts!

VEGAN DONUTS

We got an oreo stuffed donut, a cronut & cake pop. They are quite huge… I recommend splitting one with another person para hindi nakaka umay.

We were hungry & tired so we ordered bigger items, but now that I know better, I think the truffles would have been better because we could taste the different flavors without having way too much sugar.

The seating is very simple. It’s really for a quick coffee and sweet break. You can either sit here.

Or eat standing here.

They also sell their own chocolate bars. We got a few for ourselves and they make great gifts for people back home too.

What kid doesn’t look like this with a stuffed oreo donut?

This Nutella cronut was sweet even for a sweet tooth like me.

Chök has many OTHER LOCATIONS not just in Madrid, but in other Spanish cities and even shops in Gibraltar & Riyadh.
