Recently we had dinner again with the great Ambassador Nena Manalo. TD says she likes Japanese, Chinese and Italian so he chose Convivium Italian Restaurant. Some photos of the food and interiors and after the jump!
I love the interiors! It’s like being in someones home and a bistro at the same time. The decor is so quaint that it invites to to roam around and explore. There is also beautiful works of art all around. I’m just sorry that my iPhone wasn’t able to do it justice. But I hope it give you a glimpse of what to expect, but for sure the reality will be even better.
We requested for some olive oil and balsamic vinegar to go with the breadsticks.
TD and I shared a butter sage ravioli and truffle and mushroom stuffed pasta. I personally think they have better pastas than this. Our guest really enjoyed the veal and other meat entrees.
Dessert was fantastic and interesting. The red velvet was delicious and moist. But the star was the ice cream sampler which is great to share when you are in a big group. The ice cream flavors were really unexpected, most of them flavors I’ve never had.
I liked the lemonade and the red velvet ice cream.
But the surprise favorite for me was the chili raspberry and the rosemary lime! YUM!
They even had squid ink and risotto ice cream flavors!

That’s my fave italian place as well! Their best I think is the angel hair pasta with crabs. Delish!
We definitely have to try that next time! Sounds YUM!
