Cufflinks and cufflink box

September 26, 2011

I love that I’m married to a man who wears french cuffs and cufflinks daily. He’s always loved french cuffs, even before he entered into the diplomatic corps… and I totally love this about TD. They are just so much sexier than buttons. =P I love seeing him put on his cufflinks in the morning. So one of my gifts to him in the past has been his starter cufflinks box and some really quirky cufflinks from THE CUFFLINK STORE.

Top left: dog cufflinks from TD’s colleague

Top right: batik cufflinks from me

Middle: starter cufflinks box, with 2 tiers for cufflinks and the sides for watches

Bottom: Bottle opener and bottle-cap cufflinks

I say “starter” because there are many other more beautiful boxes out there, but this was the best I’ve found in Jakarta so far. He just had so many cufflinks already that I wanted him to have a proper box to organize them all. Thank God I found THE CUFFLINK STORE! They specialize in quirky cufflinks which are nice for a change, because normally TD wears serious cufflinks and it’s just good to know that on a night out he can let loose and wear something that reflects his personality too. (I don’t recommend quirky cufflinks for more matured men of course.)

My  favorite are the martini glass and shaker cufflinks I got him. (Don’t you just love it?!? See pic below.) The dog cufflinks were given by his colleague as a gift, knowing my husband’s affection for dogs.

UPDATE: The Cufflink Store no longer carries cuff link boxes like the one above, however they still have their wide selection of interesting cufflinks. Also they have several new stores. Click on the link  below to view their other locations.

    Hihi,
I went to the cufflink store but am unable to locate the cufflink box feature in this article.
Do you know where can I get it or get it shipped to singapore?

Hi Jave, I am sorry that they didn’t have the cufflinks box in the store. They have a few other stores now in Jakarta (3 stores) however to save you from the hassle, I suggest you get in touch with them directly on their Twitter and FB. You can find their details here: http://www.thecufflinksstore.com/about-us/ and then send them a link of the post I did to ask where you can get it or if it can be delivered to SG? I sent a message to the owner of the store via Instagram but I am not sure if she will reply or not. I will let you know on this comment, if I hear from her. I hope this helps!
