Cute colored gels pens

September 27, 2011

I like using brown pens because they look so much nicer on heavy stock cream paper that I like to use. And until recently I’ve been using the Muji retractable pen. My only problem with it is that it’s a bit too thick. So when it ran out, I was so happy to discover the UNI STYLE FIT gel pen! If you are like me and are addicted to office supplies then you will love this!

So many pretty colors! And no more problems with missing caps because it’s retractable! PERFECT. And SO cute!

The Uni Style Fit is the latest gel pen series from Mitsubishi Pencil Corp. These are a super slim version of the Uniball Signo DX, and we absolutely love them! It is an incredibly comfortable light and slim pen.

The ink in the Uni Style Fit is very bold and bright. We love that these gel pens never skip and write such sharp lines.

  • Available in 16 colors of ink
  • Now in .28, .38 and .5 mm ball gel ink
  • Retractable, click-top
  • Slim, sleek design

Aside from the basic black, I got to other colors: black brown and baby pink.uni style fit gel pen uni style fit gel pen

A word of caution though, because it’s tiny, it’s easy to lose. I lost my black brown .5 pen when I lent it to someone at The Ritz Carlton Risotto Cooking Class I attended.

When I dropped by Gramedia Bookstore (I couldn’t find this pen in Paperclips) they didn’t have it in the .5 size in that color, I ended up buying the pen body (it looks like this) and a refill instead. Picture of refills below.

I prefer the super simple design of the silver bodies (the barcode is plastic that can be removed).

One of the simple pleasures for me is a brand new pen. =D

If you like more cutesy girly designs they also have em in polkadots!

The best thing about this is not just the way it looks, but the amazing way it rights. Super smooth!  Ah the simple joys in life!

Uni Style Fit pens can be found in Gramedia bookstores in Jakarta. The single pens are around Rp 18,000, while the empty pens + the refill will cost you about Rp 20,000 (or 2 USD est.)

When I was in Japan a year ago, I bought these… OMG I love them. The best pens.

They are used-up. I need the new ones.

I’m from Europe and here’s no such thing. So I searched at major internet shops (exclude Japan – a bit afraid of) and found None.

Would you be able to provide my some information how to get UNI STYLE FIT (0.5 mm) ?

    All the best

The Japanese have the cutest stuff don’t they? Unfortunately I don’t know where to get them outside of Jakarta. Why don’t you try ordering them via Japanese internet shops? If it doesn’t arrive it’s not much of a loss because they are not very expensive. Sometimes I try ordering a few items on internet shops to test the merchants first. Sorry I couldn’t be of more help. =) Enjoy your sunday and thanks for dropping me a line!
