After one of the meetings TD’s colleagues offered to treat for dinner at Sanur Seafood Restaurant. We were with Ambassador Nena Manalo who is one fascinating individual – she is so interesting and has so many experiences! It was an unforgettable night of listening to her “war stories” and really yummy Chinese-style seafood! Everything we ordered was so yummy!
This is not a fancy place, but it is an old establishment with some old world charm and great tasting food. The staff are attentive and everything is cooked upon order so you’ll have to wait a little bit for the food.

Ang Ganda parin talaga ni Amba. Manalo. One of my fave teachers in college. Heard she’s also coming here in Myanmar soon *excited*.
Hi Leeyan! Great to finally hear from you! I’ve been trying to look for you on FB so I can post pics of Myanmar and tag you! Hope to hear more from you!
Yeah finally, as usual Internet connection problems parin kaya it took me a while. Anyways, ongratulations on your new baby ‘doploshop’ 🙂
Thanks Leeyan!
I have been to this restaurant since I was in primary school. This is what we always order there:
1. Steamed Shrimp (asked for the Pancet or bigger shrimp)
2. Shark Fin soup with crab meat
3. Tahu ayam ikan asin (Tofu with chicken and salty fish)
4. Pu Yung Hai Kepiting (Crab Egg Foo Yung)
5. Nasi Goreng Ikan Asin (Salty Fish Fried Rice
6. Soun Goreng (Fried Cellophane Noodle)
7. Sotong Goreng Mentega or Kodok Goreng Mentega (Fried Buttered Squid or Fried Buttered Frog)
Those are my suggestion 🙂
Awesome list! I am not as adventurous with food as you though hehe because I am too chicken to try frog ever!
