WIB Colombian Food Cooking Demo

November 28, 2013

I had the privilege of attending another Dinner is Served Activity with the Willkommen in Berlin ladies. This time we were invited by the wife of the Colombian Ambassador to enjoy the different tastes of her country’s cuisine. Diana Garcia, one of the 5 chefs in the book “Colombia, cocina de regions” or “Colombia, cooking regions” prepared for us some of the recipes in the book. Their idea for this event is to present Colombian dishes that we can do with ingredients we can find in Germany. Isn’t just clever. After the jump you will find a photoblog of the fun and delicious event. It was my first time to try Colombian cuisine and it definitely won’t be the last!

I arrived to a bustling kitchen with the Colombian Chefs, Diana Garcia, who was one of the chefs featured in the book, and Magda Hamon, who like Diana studied at the prestigious Institute for Culinary in New York. working with them are the two German chefs in Black, Kai and Robert.

I loved the venue! It was very nice with brick interiors and decorated in a cozy way. The demo kitchen was in the centre where we could all see what was going on.
