I had the privilege of attending another Dinner is Served Activity with the Willkommen in Berlin ladies. This time we were invited by the wife of the Colombian Ambassador to enjoy the different tastes of her country’s cuisine. Diana Garcia, one of the 5 chefs in the book “Colombia, cocina de regions” or “Colombia, cooking regions” prepared for us some of the recipes in the book. Their idea for this event is to present Colombian dishes that we can do with ingredients we can find in Germany. Isn’t just clever. After the jump you will find a photoblog of the fun and delicious event. It was my first time trying Colombian cuisine and it definitely won’t be the last!
I arrived to a bustling kitchen with the Colombian Chefs, Diana Garcia, who was one of the chefs featured in the book, and Magda Hamon, who like Diana studied at the prestigious Institute for Culinary in New York. working with them are the two German chefs in Black, Kai and Robert.
I loved the venue! It was very nice with brick interiors and decorated in a cozy way. The demo kitchen was in the centre where we could all see what was going on.
I love this picture of the other lovely Colombian Chef, Magda Hamon, together with blogger Mirella!
Arepas filled with cheese. YUM!
I loved that throughout the morning we were being served juices and cocktails. Very yummy concoctions!
I can’t wait to make this coconut rice called Arroz con Coco Frito…
…And this Gulupa Passion Fruit Mousse!
My friends and I had the best time attending this wonderful event!
Thanks to the Colombian Embassy, Wilkommen in Berlin “Dinner is Served” group leaders. Diana Garcia of Restaurante Diana Garcia Chef en Movimiento and her team working on Colombia Cocina de Regiones, and the Ralf Kubatz and his team of chefs from Foodamentalist for making this amazing event happen! Can you tell how much fun the ladies had, with our happy faces and happy tummies? COLOMBIAN cocina de regiones is available in Colombia and features the different cuisines in the different regions of the country. We were delighted to receive the accompanying magazine that had the recipes of the fabulous food we tried that day. YAY!
