This project has been a more than a year in the making. It started with brainstorming on what bookshelves I can design that can hold the most books, occupy the least space and use the least amount of wood (so that it will cost tell) – YET still be stable and not fall over or crash with the weight of all our books (TD and I love our books!).
Click here to see the cool bookshelf ideas that I found on the net I posted on March1, 2011. I wasn’t really sold on any of it so I decided to create my own design. I communicate it to my furniture maker Danni and he advises me on stability and the more technical aspects. He then creates a drawing on the computer so I can approve it before he starts making it.
After months refining the design, on August 2011 the prototype of my modular bookshelf finally arrived! Click here to see photos. I absolutely love it. And decided I wanted another one so it can be placed beside my future TV cabinet, creating a media wall. This was how it looked while waiting for me to finalize the design of the TV table. (It was already Christmas 2011)
Another fantastic thing about Danni (aside from his amazing English & great customer service is that he is able to create a 3D rendition to show how it will look, with the color that I have chosen. You can even include other elements of the room to scale. So here is a teaser of the TV table with the 2 modular shelves. This is not the final design of the TV table. Hopefully I will be able to post it soon.

It looks amazing. You’re so talented. I think it’s the combination of you and Danni. Great job!
