Kitchen Aid Artisan Mixer

May 2, 2011

My friend Kaho of Chuzai Living requested for a picture of my Kitchen Aid mixer. Sorry it took me so long sweety! Here it is!

A Kitchen Aid is another one of those Buy Me Once pieces that last generations. So for me this is a sustainable investment if you like to bake.

I chose the Artisan instead of the heavy duty one because it was more affordable. About IDR 5.6M or USD 560 from Pantry Magic which is surprisingly the best price I’ve found for a Kitchen Aid mixer in Jakarta. Other shops I’ve seen it for more than 8Million (I looked at Metro, Electronic City, etc.). Best thing about Pantry Magic is the 2-year warranty which is important when buying such expensive kitchen equipment. They are an official distributor of Kitchen Aid so you can also order the attachments or different colors they have if the one you like is not already on stock.

Why this mixer instead of the cheaper one’s available in the market? Well because this is so much sturdier than the other brands… I know it will last me 10-15 years down the road.

It came with this cool clear attachment which makes it easier (less messy) to pour ingredients while it is mixing. It also prevents ingredients from splattering out. The mixer also came with a flat beater, whisk and something for mixing heavy dough.

Gosh seeing that whipped cream made me hungry! =P

The owners, Riyanto and Chindy, were also so helpful and patient with all my questions. I like to be thorough because I don’t have money to throw away so I need to be sure before making my purchase. They were so helpful and I was so happy with their customer service (even before making any purchase) that I sent them over a quadruple chocolate cake (the very first thing I baked using the Kitchen Aid) to let them know how much I appreciated their help.

I love my Kitchen Aid mixer – it’s worth every dollar!

Wow! That looks hot! 🙂 Thanks for posting the photos! It must be shining in your kitchen. If I had it in my kitchen, I would go to my kitchen just to look at it! You’re always very thorough with your purchase which I really admire about you! The whip cream does look delish!

Hi Kaho, yes it took me a while to get myself to buy it… if I didn’t get housewife’s tendonitis I don’t think I would have bought it for myself. =P Yes I totally catch myself staring at it… do yo know they even have this in hot pink now? Thanks so much for the sweet compliment!
