Easy-to-store Deli Hole Puncher

October 5, 2011

I can’t believe I’m writing about… a HOLE PUNCHER. Of all things! LOL. Believe me, I tried to control myself but the more I used this little thing, the more I just had to. Great design that elevate ordinary things into something I can’t help but admire! So please indulge the geek in me that takes pleasure in office supplies (I can spend hours in an office supply store!). In fact, I can safely say that my lil’ home office is more well equipped than my husband’s office – from my laminator to badass wifi printer/scanner!

Did you know that the regular puncher here is wider than our standard in the Philippines? I didn’t! I bought stainless steel fasteners and couldn’t use them. So I bought the cheapest but supposedly good brand Bantex. Guess what?!? One use and it was busted! (Argh!) It was not made well so one of the punchers became crooked and no amount of pushing would right it, so it would only punch one hole. =(

I promised myself to buy a better quality brand and found this Deli puncher at Paperclips office supplies store. It was cheaper and looks much more well made.

Check out the opening in front. No need to open the entire bottom to get rid of debris. Easy.

The lock stays in position (around the blade) so it doesn’t get lost.

Just see how much more sleek and compact it is than my old puncher. This old one…

…versus this compact and streamlined baby!

Because of our tight budget, I always make sure to spend our money well. And you can tell that I’m not the type to just go into a shop and buy what I need. I take the time and effort to buy well design things. (Even with something as mundane as a puncher.) Why? Because great design makes my ordinary, everyday tasks such a pleasure. =)

Are you kidding. I LOVE hole punchers! I have to stop myself from buying different shapes puncher from Martha Stewart lines the other day!

And one of my regret is losing my INdonesian puncher here. I brought it to US but just cannot find it anywhere 🙁

    Enjoy making confettis 😀

Glad to know I am not alone! I love the different shapes too! What was your indonesian puncher?

I was telling TD we should be assigned in the US sometime so I can truly go crazy with my crafting there! LOL! =P

Gosh i see too many crafters paradise in singapore almost all the malls have atleast one shop for the scrap booking supplies and they dont come cheap eash scrap page is about 1.50 to 4 dollars. Martha stewart punch i dont have any picture with me now at the moment it was 45 Sing dollars and mad money i was very surprised to see a punch hole offcourse it had some design on that . it is expensive to nearly 3/4 price of a gram gold.

I decided not to spend money on crafts especially on scrapbooking. total waste of money for something that is going to sleep in a corner of the roo\m unless if you are really super creative.
