I get asked a lot where we get our masks and hats with face shields because they come in so many cute colors! It also has a thick enough plastic that it is straight unlike some other plastic that are so thin and low quality that they are wrinkly. You have to still be careful handling it because it can get folded and warp.

Guys we are slowly shifting from strict quarantine to being able to go outside, so it’s so important to be prepared with proper protective gear. I personally wasn’t confident to go out with just masks. I really wanted to get good quality faceshields for the whole family so we can slowly start going out with confidence. So I got each member of our household:
1. HAT WITH FACE SHIELD (Large)
We assigned different colors per person so we don’t exchange hats. Each member of the family makes sure that it gets cleaned after each use. These hats are a bit large in size so perfect for big heads like me, however for people with smaller head, they might need to pin it to tighten. I like that the fabric is soft and not as warm as other hats that have stiffer more tightly woven fabrics. Hats were P195 pesos each.

2. DOUBLE LAYER NEOPRENE MASK
The design and quality of these masks are great because the separate double layer means it is snug around your face. I’ve purchase triple layer masks for P60 each but without the gap in between each layer, it doesn’t really snugly go around your face. These masks also have a small slit in the back so you can insert tissue/filters. Masks were P45 each.

These masks are for adults but I had DiploBaby model it and it fits him too. The coverage is quite good. But you really have to find a good supplier because I noticed that there was a difference in quality with each order.

3. FACESHIELDS
This is a back up when the hat is being hand-washed. It can easily be cleaned with alcohol or other disinfectants. This faceshield is free size and fits toddlers to adults as you can see below. I recommend it for toddlers or people with small heads. Faceshields were P80 each.

DiploBaby has a big head for a 4yo. He wears sunglasses that are for 7yo, but I think this faceshield will fit kids from 3years old onwards. It comes in only 2 colors: Pink and Black.

Please note that these shields do not have foam in the forehead area, but they do not stick to your face/nose like others. However if you are wearing glasses there will be contact between the plastic and your glasses.
SUPPLIER: Rose Ann 09394270617
I do not know if Rose Ann still suppliers the neoprene face masks because the supplier raised their price so better to ask her. Please note that the prices may change without notice because the price also depends on the supplier and they seem to be raising their prices. For a while I was helping Rose Ann and taking orders for neighborhood but I realize it’s better to just order direct because it became a bit too stressful coordinating and distributing.

TD wears the hat even if he feels a little silly because of the Ajumma vibes LOL! Better safe than sorry right! These are photos from when we drove to pick up some stuff from Powerplant Mall in Rockwell and Healthy Options in Greenbelt.

We ordered and paid on Viber/Facebook for some stuff from True Value and Cooks Exchange and they now have a system for drive-by pick ups called Rockwell In and Out which is brilliant!
UPDATE: FACESHIELDS ONLY
For people who do not like the feeling of a garter around their heads or do not want to wear hats with their faceshields, this is a great option that I personally have tried. These fit toddlers and adults alike. And there is absolutely no pressure around the head.
They are 90 pesos each from my friend Pearl whose number is 09178152108.

Before assembling it, please remove the plastic film on the front and back of the shield so that it will be clear. If you don’t it will look very blurry when you wear it.

This is a great option for people who feel warm wearing a hat or do not want to wear a hat. Personally I have one of each so that when one is being disinfected or washed, we have other options.
TODDLER / KIDS’ MASKS
We were very lucky that in Japan we were able to buy reusable MEO masks for kids which are washable by hand. Each disposable filter can be used for up to 50 hours or every 10 days if used daily.

MEO also has masks for adults but they were out of stock in Japan and currently out of stock locally at URBAN ESSENTIALS and MIGHTY BABY. Hopefully as things ease up they will have stock from New Zealand.
Do you know of other reusable mask brands for kids? Please share it with us!
BUCKET HAT FACESHIELDS FOR KIDS

A lovely neighbor was able to help us order hat faceshields for DiploBaby. This supplier has many different and cute designs available but they run out of the design so fast that you need to ask them what is currently available. If you do not choose fast enough, they can run out of that design a few minutes after your inquiry. But the quality of their products are great. I got 2 for DiploBaby and he and his friend were modeling it for me. Details below.

Thanks for these tips on gcq safety. I would like to try the faceshields for adults.
Most welcome Noni! Tell Ann you got her number from me. It’s good to collate orders like I did or tell her to combine it with other Makati orders so that the shipping is not to expensive. I remember before shipping was 200-250 to Salcedo.
