I love supporting brands that are sensitive to the environment and to our different types of skin. I met Elan of Fern Valley Botanics when we took an online course together and her advocacy really spoke to me.
As someone who has so many allergies and skin struggles, her commitment to creating the highest quality soaps that are gentle enough for the different skin needs of her individual customers was something that I really appreciated. So when she did a giveaway, I immediately joined, hoping it would be my chance to try the amazing creations that I drooled over on her IG daily.
And guess what? I was chosen as one of the winners! Woohoo! I felt so lucky. When she was asking me which products I would like to try for the sampler pack, I could totally feel her attention to detail and care for her customers’ different skin needs.
I also ordered the Cleanse Protect Restore Facial bar in unscented to try on my face that has been breaking out ever since I got back to the Philippines and got even worse – became cystic – since lockdown happened.

LATELY LAVENDER CLOUD
I got this special little cloud shaped soap in a cute little canvas pouch. Definitely goint to try this with my 4year old! Love the description on her etsy shop:

The oils have been infused with lavender and chamomile so that each little flower bud does it’s part in helping to soothe your skin and senses. The soap is also a shea butter base so expect a creamy and nutritive lather!
Ingredients: Lavender essential oil, Lavender buds, Alkanet Root, Shea Butter, Coconut oil, RSPO Palm oil, Infused Olive oil (Lavender and Chamomile buds), Sweet Almond oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Goat Milk

Handmade cold processed soaps are infinitely better than commercial soaps that use chemicals to make it bubble more (but then dry up our skin), chemical scents and colors and harsh detergents. I love that we can clean our skin without all these unnecessary and unnatural things!
