See video of our experience in Fischer’s Fritz here:
After 3 hour drive from our place outside of Geneva, we were hungry and arrived early-ish to Frischer’s Fritz. We called to reserved but we were told to just come since there were still tables. When we couldn’t enter because of this event below, we called again and they told us to just park in the school nearby because there were no classes yet.

We were very lucky that there was no classes yet because the parking across can be quite busy. We walked by this interesting establishment and just followed the signs.

When we arrived there was nobody to seat us so we walked right in. It was so pretty that I really think it’s worth a visit when in Zürich. Just come early and a weekday. We arrived at around 66:30 on a Thursday.

The carousel was actually extra seating for the event they had that weekend.

These white seatings are reserved and they do have a lovely view so if you can, make reservations.

We were told to take any of these and we were happy to be even closer to the water.

Radlers (Panaché in French or Shandy in English) for us and Fanta treat for the not-so-little boy.

While waiting for the food, it was super fun to explore this massive place!

For the occasion there was even a robot band. It was a bit loud, but they stopped playing after a while. Super interesting for curious kids though!

They also had this display of massive plushies. I told DiploBaby that the elephant’s tusks were removed by poachers & he sweetly gave it a hug. My sweet boy.

FOOD’S HERE!
The servings were big so I’m glad we only ordered 3 items.

The Caesar’s Salad was delicious and I opted not to eat the chicken because it looked reheated.

The star of the meal were the yummy Truffle Fries!

There were a lot of types of fish in the menu but only one was available. It was yummy with the tartar sauce.

The recommended crunchy maki took much longer than the rest because it’s in a separate kitchen. I wouldn’t have minded if they didn’t put any lettuce and tomatoes into the maki. Salmon and rice would have been perfect. There is not need to mess with a classic.

DESSERT
For dessert, we ordered homemade ice cream and sorbet by Schlattgut. The vanilla was the best!

THE VIEW
While we ate it was so much fun people and animal watching. From ducks fighting & turbo running across the water to different sports and boats.

We saw paddleboarders and these “surfers” paddling around without a wave in sight.

It was literally my first time ever to see a Police boat….

…and a water taxi!

Apparently, it’s also a watertaxi stop. This is the stop…

… right in front of the bar.

WHAT A GREAT SWIM SPOT!
In between or after bites, you can also swim in the Zürichsee. Yes they call lakes seas too.

Slowly climb down and acclimate to the water temperature. It can be quite cold, especially for us Filipinos who are used to 30C waters. Also don’t jump unless you are sure it’s deep to avoid injury to yourself.

And beware of duck fleas. Stay away from them, rinse/bath well immediately after swimming in the lake & rub your skin well with a towel. Another good explanation of what actually happens when you are exposed to duck fleas. It’s kinda gross, but when you live in a place with no AC at 35C you have no choice but to cool off.

As we say bye to Fischer’s Fritz, we notice more things. It’s really such a beautiful place to experience as a family. I highly recommend it if you want to just sit back and relax, but not if you are in a rush.
