I had the luxury of staying at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Hamburg. Hotels in Europe are known to be small and usually have bare amenities. So I was surprised with Park Hyatt hotel. Our room was very spacious with well designed and thoughtful features and amenities. One of the reasons I love travelling is staying in hotel rooms. I got a lot of inspiration from how they design beautiful yet functional and comfortable spaces.
Aside from the gorgeous view of Mönckebergstrasse, a famous shopping street in Hamburg, I like how they did the sheer and black out curtains.
The toilet, bath and closet were in an L formation. Like a walk in closet but with a T&B.
I like the attention to little details like amenities hidden inside furniture.
Bang & Olufsen TV which allows you to play your MP3 player.
A charging station is hidden inside this storage space.
Convenient tray for valuables located inside the room safe so you don’t forget small but precious items.
Organic L’Occitane toiletries and much more hidden in a leather case.
Rosenthal serving ware individually laid out inside drawers with tea and coffee bags. Rosenthal is a German brand and one of the oldest and most respected names in porcelain in the world.
We ordered room service for breakfast. And it was served in a warmer with wheels that also served as a tabletop. I loved that our omelette and sausages were still warm. This is the Hyatt breakfast for one person. TD and I had to share it and between the two of us, we couldn’t even finish it.
With such a beautifully designed hotel room and fuelled with an amazing breakfast, I was ready to wander and hunt down the famous shopping spots of Hamburg!
