Food in Discovery Shores Boracay

November 22, 2020

You will never go hungry if you stay in Discovery Shores Boracay! From our arrival to every evening there were always yummy treats in our room!

WELCOME TREATS

Imagine the effort of customizing these for us! My husband and I were so touched by the level of detail! They even had the DFA seal on the mini cupcakes!

TURNDOWN SNACKS

It was our belated Anniversary celebration because we were not able to celebrate the years before when my husband was sick with 2 unrelated cancers for 2 consecutive years so we were really happy with our choice to celebrate in Discovery Shores. They spoiled us to bits!

Every night the staff left a sweet note and some midnight snacks for us!

BREAKFAST BUFFET AT THE SANDS

Everymorning the breakfast buffet had a lot of different choices for use from the standard Filipino fare, to coldcuts, muesli, fresh juices, freshly baked goods and delicious coffee!

I liked having the chicken noodle soup for breakfast too!

You can have coffee however you want it!

DiploBaby enjoyed his breakfasts too!

TREATS ALL DAY LONG!

Several times a day a parade of servers would go around the whole resort to offer everyone delicious snacks and other pampering treats like cold cucumbers for our eyes, or a spray of ice cold Evian on our faces and even to clean our sunglasses. You can see the photos of those here

We never got sick of it because every day the treats would be different!

During afternoons, they would also lay out food and drinks by the pool. I’ve never encountered this in other hotels or resorts EVER!

Sometimes because we would be so full from breakfast and all the complimentary snacks they provided, we would skip lunch and instead order something by the pool by mid-afternoon. My mother-in-law is enjoying her instant sangria! We mixed some sprite with our red wine and asked for ice! Et voila!

FORNO OSTERIA

When we wanted something different from The Sands, we ate at Forno Osteria, their Italian Restaurant!

Everything was yummy from the freshly baked bread and EVOO and Parmesan Cheese Dip to their pizzas!

Refreshing drink!

The salad was so fresh and delicious!

I’m drooling just remembering the pizza and the pasta that we ordered. I think this was the quattro formaggio.

Up next are the only two places that drew us to leave Discovery Shores: The Fish n’ Chips of Los Indios Bravos and the Cheese Pizza of Two Seasons Boracay!
