The claim to fame of Frankfut Marriot is that they have Germany’s highest Executive Lounge on their 43rd floor. Personally I loved going to the lounge for pre or post dinner drinks. As I mentioned, I thought that breakfast was so so, I think dinner at the Executive lounge is so much better.
Breakfast
The eggs were a bit rubbery and cold, so put a lot of ketchup. They have the same breads from the buffet and you can heat it up with the toaster. Options are much more limited than the Breakfast Buffet at the Brasserie on the ground floor so I would recommend going down.
Dinner
I never checked if there was lunch, but there probably is. They serve dinner until 9pm. When I had dinner there, they had for mains this juicy looking roast beef, salmon in curry sauce, rice, creamy tomato pasta. There were other appetisers, but I didn’t have room. There were about 5 cakes for dessert but the waiter recommended the sachet torte which he said was his favourite. It was the best sachet torte I’ve had so if you see it in Frankfurt Marriott, go for it!
Drinks
It was nice to wind down with some wine or beer before bed at the lounge. I enjoyed their German wine while TD wold have German beers. They have a small selection of pica pica to go with drinks: potato chips, nuts, dried fruits and M&Ms. Of course there is also a beautiful gourmet coffee maker and other drinks.
The staff at the executive lounge were so friendly and made me feel welcome and comfortable every time. They speak very good English and are very helpful. If you have the chance to check out the Executive Lounge and enjoy the free food and drinks, it’s definitely worth checking out!
