Touring around Frankfurt is a great way to get a feel for the layout and important parts of the city. Get a good tour guide that can tell you about the city’s landmarks and pique your curiosity and interest. Once you pick out what you find interesting, be it historical landmarks, museums, ebbelwoi pubs or shopping, you can always come back using public transport.
We rode on the coolest bus.
Part of the tour was a walk through the old town square which was really memorable for me. Aren’t the buildings straight out of a storybook?
We ended the tour with a visit of the Goethehaus, the home a famous son of Frankfurt: Johann Wolfgang Goethe. I will write about Goethehaus on another post.
Though Frankfurt is beautiful to see, this tour helped me truly appreciate its history, landmarks and proud heritage. Without the tour, I might have passed by without giving these old buildings a thought except for their beauty. I definitely want to go back and visit the places that I wasn’t able to cross off my Frankfurt Bucketlist.
I am sorry I cannot give you the contact details of the city tour service that was used because we did not organise the tour. Click here to get more information from the official Frankfurt City website instead.
Have you ever been to Frankfurt? I’d love to hear about what makes it memorable for you. Let’s talk about it in the comments section below.
I loved hearing that you enjoyed Frankfurt so much. I live there and always feel that it’s not that interesting for tourists to visit. However, maybe I should find out on which tour you went and recommend that to visitors I have. Lovely pictures by the way. 🙂
I look for inspiration and beauty wherever I go. I absolutely loved Frankfurt though and it wasn’t hard to find! Thanks for commenting and loving my photos. You made my day!
