Spring-Summer 2010 fashion launch

April 29, 2010

If you’re looking for a review on the Fashion show or the collection, you’re not gonna find it here =P

Last Monday, Greenbelt held an event together with the following brands: Boss Black, Bottega Veneta, Burberry Bvlgari, Charriol, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo and Tod’s. The fashion show was at 6pm at the Greenbelt 5 Fashion Walk, with cocktails and a sale exclusive to event guests at 7pm in Greenbelt 4 (up to 40% off).

We unfortunately missed the show due to an unforeseen event (sorry Malu!), so we went straight to Greenbelt 4.  And since  I don’t like torturing myself with things I can’t buy (currently saving for some big purchases for myself and the house), I also avoided looking at the sale. 40% off can be VERY tempting.

I have to say it was a lovely event with great food (with a modern twist on Filipino ingredients) and wine, and very good entertainment. The guests were oh so fashionable. I especially loved the outfit of SSI’s Malu Francisco, who looked so elegant and stylish in a one-shoulder purple dress that made her look like the event goddess that she is. I would kill to have legs like that!

I usually don't post pics of myself, but I just LOVE my most recent purchase from Tyler. They always have chic pieces with interesting details that make the pieces different. This is their version of an LBD, which was super flattering and hid all the right things =P (I've to confess that I totally didn't follow the dress code: Summer Chic)

Yummy, healthy(er) taro chips with kalamansi mayo

I love that they used edible centerpieces. On my plate: Timballo of Ilocos eggplant & penne (SO good!); Smoked bangus & celery salad, paprika chips on whole-wheat bread; and Filipino sweets.

Tribo Manila was the perfect choice for music. It was a mix of upbeat and chillax that kept the event lively with an easy atmosphere. We loved moving to the catchy beats and watching the band have fun playing around while they were performing!

One of my favorite DJs in the Manila party scene, DJ Danger Sanchez!
