YOGYA BITES: Paprika High Tea

March 25, 2011

I am totally behind in my high tea mission! But I did get to have high tea during our trip to Yogyakarta…

Paprika Restaurant in Phoenix Hotel was offering high tea. They have a spread of savory and sweet  bites and I got to choose 7 from them. I like this idea because if you like something in particular then you can just get more of it.

I ordered some savory items because I didn’t have lunch due to the MASSIVE breakfast I always end up having at this hotel (It’s too yummy not to!) but to anyone reading who might actually try this I’m going to be honest and say that the savory items I ordered disappointed me. So I totally recommend the sweets instead!

The setting for the high tea was the indoor area of Paprika Resto (I usually stay outside for breakfast) which gave me a more mediterranean vibe.

I chose to have strawberry tea which is a great new flavor discovery! The verdict? This high tea (sweets only) is okay, but not excellent, however for the price of Rp 50,000 for everything it is good value! =)

High tea for Rp. 50,000!!! That is almost unheard of in Jakarta! Wonderful! I always end up eating way too much at a hotel breakfast buffet. Danger! Thanks for sharing! I hope to visit Jogjakarta in the near future!
