How to Pack Glass Ornaments With Reused Giftwrapping Paper

November 19, 2020

The amount of waste produced during Christmas is staggering so I want to share some ways we reduce our waste after opening Christmas presents! Even though our building recycles, we know that not everything is recyclable so the more we reuse the better!

Here are some short video tutorials on ways to have lead a ZERO WASTE and a more sustainable Christmas!

HOW TO PACK ORNAMENTS WITH REUSED GIFT WRAPPERS

Intead of using plastic bubble wrap, here is how to pack Glass Christmas Ornaments or other fragile items using whatever old paper packaging or even used Christmas wrappers.

I learned this by watching how the professional German packers wrapped our breakables before our move. They use paper not bubble wrap.

What about ribbons & string from all the gifts? It’s usually a nightmare to store and reuse coz they are always so tangles. I’ve figured out the simplest & easiest way to wrangle them so they look organized & easy to reuse when you need it!

So before throwing away used Christmas wrappers & Ribbons on Christmas day, please consider flattening/organizing them to be used instead of bubble wrap and tape the next time you need to pack something.

Enjoy post Christmas decluttering. Please click to see tips on how to be more sustainable during the Christmas Holidays!
