I always get asked if how I store bags and if I keep them in their dust bags. I used to store my bags in their dust bags and then have laminated photos on the outside so I knew what was inside them.
But I’ve since decluttered and reduced the amount of bags I have. It was more of a necessity during the time my husband had cancer. I sold all my luxury bags to help pay for the bills. I have no regrets.
I now have just enough bags so I get to use all of them in rotation. And the best method I realized is this:
MARIE KONDO’S BAG IN BAG METHOD
This really helps lessen the volume and space that bags take in our closet, while keeping up their shape & helping them breath. (meaning: no molds!) I swear by this method. My clients are always so amazed at how their bags end up taking only half of the original space they were occupying. Please try it out!
I also make sure to have large dehumidifiers in each bag, which need to be changed every 6 months (1 year max). They look like this:

Make sure to have Dehumidifier tubs in each closet to prevent molds and having a musky smell developing. They look like this:

You can buy these also in True Value or Ace Hardware on Amazon if you are in the USA.
Once all the beads have turned to liquid, discard the liquid and replace with refills so you don’t have to buy new plastic tubs every time. They look like these:

AIRING OUT YOUR CLOSET REGULARLY
One important thing I learned from Germany is to air out our closets, bathrooms and rooms regularly.
After you shower, you should open all your doors and windows to let air through for 15mins. There has to be some sort of crosswind so that the stale and humid air will go out. This prevents molds in the bathroom if you do it regularly.

For the closets, I recommend the same, open all the closet doors to let them breathe, while leaving all the doors and windows open for some through-air. If you really want the air to circulate you can even put a fan facing the closet you are airing out. Doing this a few times a week for 15minute intervals will prevent molds and dust from settling in your closets.
ORGANIZING REUSABLE TOTE BAGS
One thing that people have really collected these days are reusable tote bags. Not all of them are made equal, in fact many of the cheap ones are made of plastic, that just feels like cloth. Here is how I organize mine:
