JAKARTA EATS: Rainbow Cakes [CLOSED]

June 29, 2012

My friends have been raving about this rainbow cake for ages. So I ordered it from lovely Heny and was so surprised because she gave me a sample for free. Wow! Thanks so much Heny! It’s so pretty I just had to share it with my friends and blog readers!

I got the vanilla and buttercream frosting – I like that it wasn’t too sweet and that it was moist. Next time I think I wanna try the Lemon cake with Cream Cheese Frosting, which the home baker recommends.

Cake Flavors:

  • Lemon/Orange
  • Coconut
  • Vanilla
  • Melon
  • Strawberry
  • Raspberry
  • Milk Tea
  • Rose
Frosting:
  • Cream cheese
  • Buttercream
Sizes:
  • Teaser circle 10 cm: IDR 150,000
  • Signature rectangle 10×15 cm: IDR 250,000
  • Petite-circle 15 cm: IDR 275,000

Jakarta is very trendy. Right now the dessert trends here are rainbow cakes and red velvet cupcakes. I admire people who make this cake because you basically have to bake 7 cakes and put them together. WOW!

Goldilocks have their own version of rainbow cake before but I bet it doesn’t taste as good as the featured cake here. 🙂

Hi running enthusiast! I bet the Goldilocks version was yummy as well! And perhaps more suited to Filipino taste because of how we love our sweets. Sweets here in Indonesia are not as sweet to cater the the local taste as well. =) Thanks for dropping me a line!
