We used to use the Neti-Pot which is shaped like a teapot, however my husband and son found this more difficult to use. So I had to find better alternatives. The ones that are more popular in Germany (where I usually shop for these things) are squeeze bottles look like below.
My son started using them since he was around 5/6 years old. He loves it coz the effect is immediate.

Nasal Rinse Salt
