Leguanos are handmade in Germany and have an Amazon.de store, but you can also find them in North America. It all started in Germany when I needed shoes for DiploBaby’s super fat toddler feet.
There are many cheaper options for watershoes but I will attest to how sturdy these shoes are. We’ve had them for roughly 6-7 years now and they are still going. Looks almost new despite many beach trips and washing in the washing machine. The only thing that’s showing wear are my BALLERINAS.
LEGUANITOS
I first purchased Leguanitos in Germany because I saw how developing feet can benefit from barefoot shoes. DiploBaby has such fat feet, Leguanitos were literally the only shoes he could wear as a toddler until we found extra wide shoes for him. He’s had Leguanitos in each size from infancy until today because he can use it at the playground, walks, and on the beach.
Now they also have the sneaker style for kids like these. I might consider getting one once he outgrows his navy sock-style ones because they are currently out of stock on Amazon.

WET/DRY BAREFOOT SHOES
I get asked a lot about our WET & DRY SHOES because they are white sneakers for running & walking but they can also be used to protect our feet in the mostly-pebble beaches here in Europe.
These are what we have:
TD & I love the white sneaker type called ACTIVE because you can travel, go on a boat/plane, hike & swim in them. The CLASSIC he exclusively wears as water shoes, but he really prefers the ACTIVE. Both roll up small so easy to pack for travel.

I also have these ballerinas in Aqua which I would also use as water shoes. Beside it is an upgrade.
NONE WATERPROOF SHOES
When we bought our Leguanos around 6/7 years ago the styles were style quite basic then. There are so many more variants of Leguanos now.
