BERLIN BITES: Lindenbräu am Potsdamer Platz

July 25, 2022

Though Potsdamer Platz is very touristy, we really do love Lindenbräu brewery & restaurant because for us they have the best crispy Schweinshaxe or the German version of Crispy Pata. So it’s a definite favorite place to eat in Berlin and a great place to take guests when we used to live in Berlin. The quality of the food is still top!

Sitting inside where there weren’t that much people, the service wasn’t great because they couldn’t see us. We just had to actively approach the wait staff. It’s totally understandable though but we still opted to eat inside because of the people smoking in the outdoor area. I just couldn’t risk getting bronchitis for another 4 weeks.

Lindenbräu is great for typical German food.

Our friends Alex and Tess ordered soups with brown bread.

We then shared Nürnberger Rostbratwürstchen with Sauerkraut & brown bread, an extra order of Pommes Frites

The crispy Schweinshaxe, sliced Napkin dumpling (Serviettenknödel) and sauerkraut in a hearty beer sauce.

Tita Tess & DiploBaby both have a sweet tooth and ended the meal with scoops of ice cream.

They have a very nice educational coloring book that seems to be a tie-up with the police. Very educational. We had to ask for it twice because they forgot about it. So it ended up being a souvenir to take home instead of an activity to do while waiting for the food.

Anyway, we didn’t wait for long for the food because in terms of food, it comes out very fast.
