YAY! =D
I always buy these from True Value Manila but I’ve decided to try ordering it from the USA to see if it will actually arrive and if I will have any problems with the courier. I am happy to say that I did not encounter any problems at all!
I ordered 200 pcs. of SinuCleanse saline packets) last March 21 and it arrived yesterdat April 11 – exactly 22 days after! Not bad at all.
Each pack of 100 saline sachets cost me 10.99 USD then I added 16.99 USD for US postage international first class. The total was about 40 USD for 200 pcs.
I almost ordered these from someone selling them here in Indonesia but each packet of 100 pcs would have cost me 40 USD. Whoa. Double the price! Glad I ordered em directly from SinuCleanse!
In Manila, a box of 60 pieces costs a little more than 10 USD but I need to go through the trouble of bringing them via my luggage and I always end up being over the luggage weight limit. I am now trying to find ways and means not to be too dependent on shopping in the Philippines.
I’ve talked about the issue of shopping for imported products with many expats here and so far it’s unanimous: getting imported products is really difficult and expensive here in Indonesia. Because they have a closed economy and very protective of their local businesses (good for them!) – hence the 200+% tariffs on imported goods plus all the hassle with Customs.
Even as a diplomat when I sent a box of my things from the Philippines (small balikbayan box 20 x 20 x 20 inches) via FEDEX air freight the package arrived the next day in Jakarta but despite being a door-to-door delivery it took them FOUR MONTHS to deliver my box to our home because the FEDEX Jakarta office was insisting I needed to PAY MORE MONEY to get my box delivered. They said it was additional processing fee. We refused because we asked for a full quotation in the Philippines and we did not want to pay more than the 200 USD that we already paid. We had to play hardball but the price was getting the items 4 months after. Crazy right? I am never using FEDEX to Indonesia again and I also tell my friends and family not to send anything via courier here unless it is small because I don’t want to have that same problem again.
I just wanted to share my own personal experience with you guys (so you wont be caught off guard), but I am sure that not everyone will have the same experience as I had. The main thing I wanna say in this post is that I am extremely happy to know that I can order from Sinucleanse.com and it will arrive at my door step without any problems. My sinus and I are grateful!
I highly recommend the SinuCleanse Neti Pot over the others because SinuCleanse has plastic see-through Neti Pots which are great because you can see if you have the right amount of water and if the saline is fully dissolved before using it (OUCH – it really hurts when it’s not!). And I don’t worry as much about breaking it as I would a porcelain pot. I hope this post was helpful for you!
