Flying budget airlines can be a total pain. But we do what we have to to save money especially when we want to fly home frequently. Last month, TD and I went home to take care of some papers and to visit my family. Since my family is from the province and we wanted to maximize our time, we booked connecting flights. The flight to Manila is at midnight and then our flight to the province was at 8 am. It was really tiring and because I was just recovering from the flu and food poisoning (under-cooked fish!), I was avoiding fast food! We wandered around the “new” NAIA 3 airport looking for a decent place to eat breakfast in.

The lighting was bright and the interiors a skeleton of a proper restaurants, but it beats all the fast food joints in this airport ANYDAY! The proper cushioned seats alone are a welcome relief.
Lo and behold we found ANDIAMO. We were a bit skeptical because the prices were a bit steep and for a proper restaurant it had a lot to be desired in the ambiance department (still better than the fast food joints though). But upon realizing that the resto had the same owners as Cantinetta (the yummy Italian resto in Pasong Tamo) we immediately felt better. Since I couldn’t eat a lot, we shared a pizza. It was everything a four cheese pizza should be! (Once again I find myself drooling while writing – meaning it’s time for a snack!)

Quattro Formaggi (Php 420). I know I shouldn’t have eaten all that cheese but I just couldn’t resist! Way better than a Jollibee breakfast for my poor tummy right?

TD was thrilled to be back in the Philippines wherein coke is served in what he terms as a “REGULAR-sized can or bottle!” (they usually serve the skinny cans/tiny bottles in Jakarta)
Another good thing about this place is that there is free WIFI for customers, perfect for passing time! We had no regrets spending that much on a pizza, after all by Jakarta standards, spending Rp 100,000 (the est. equivalent) for TWO people would be considered cheap! Some shots of the menu at the bottom.
