Okay this is a bit delayed but I just wanna have this on my blog for posterity’s sake. BORACAY is TRAVEL + LEISURE’s No. 1 Island for 2012. It is up from being #4 in 2011. I am so happy that Boracay is getting some love and is ranked up there with other island paradises such as Bali, Santorini, Hawaii, etc. Even surpassing them! Wow!
I wonder if this is a sign? I was just telling Mia of A Matter of Taste that I am currently lusting for a trip to Boracay….to feel the talcum powder fine sand on my toes, swim through the warm crystal clear azure blue waters and have a drink while watching the sun set.
It’s a definitely a different vibe from Bali since it’s a tiny island and people walk around in their bikinis all day. There are no temples or any cultural sites… it’s more like a lazy island by day and party island by night kinda thing.
There are tons of things to do though like snorkeling, island hopping, paraw sailing, banana boating, parasailing, wind surfing, kite surfing, ATV, etc. If you are not feeling active you can just read a book on the beach while being served food and drinks all day. Sigh… Beach heaven!
