Wine and Cheese Night

November 29, 2011

Last Friday we were invited to several fabulous parties, like the Johnnie Walker Jet Black Lounge, Cocktails and Cupcakes Fashion Show at Desa Kemang, a Jack Daniels Night at the JW Marriott Hotel and the Wine and Cheese Birthday Open-house of our friend C. Though we wanted to attend all, it was logistically impossible to go to each one because of Friday night Jakarta traffic (Macet!!) so we decided to attend our dear friend C’s wine and cheese birthday bash and the  Johnnie Walker Jet Black Lounge Party that I had RSVP-ed to a month back.

I wish I had taken many more pictures, but was caught up in meeting new people and the funny and interesting conversations. So here are the few that I took at the end of the night…

The wonderful host

The conversation partners…

My biggest regret is not taking pictures of the food at the beginning of the night! The presentation was so lovely – it was a feast of various cheeses, grapes, berries, walnuts, olives and crackers! I love how C has taken up the very Asian practice of preparing too much food. He admits to getting the habit from living in Manila for several  years. (C is most definitely an honorary Pinoy!)

This is  DJ Sabotage melting some chocolate to dip the strawberries in!

And all the unfinished spread in the kitchen – would you look at that!!! YUMMMMM…

Thanks for inviting us C, you were such a wonderful host! It was a lovely way to celebrate a Thanksgiving weekend birthday. We totally enjoyed the company and the food, as always!
