Our 2nd AirBnB experience was in Pisa and it was a wonderful one. The AirBnB was loft-style with the bedroom in the 2nd floor. I loved the all white with brilliant pops of color and art. It was very airy and had so much personality and was very well-stocked. We could not ask for more.
If you are wanting to do an AirBnB business it’s definitely a great idea to take notes of the best practices a wonderful AirBnBs like this one. It is also clear that the superhosts – Matteo, a freelance designer engineer who loves to surf and collects modern and contemporary art, and Sara, a costume designer for cinema and theater – love color and live vibrant lives!
AIRY DINING ROOM
This AirBnB is a wonderful example of decorating with color yet still maintaining a visually uncluttered space! It helps to have a beautiful white textured background, because without the different textures – the brick under the sloping roof, metal grate floor, powder coated steel details – it would feel too much like a hospital. The texture gives it character.

I love the large cactus plant that was also echoed in the cactus bookshelves on the 2nd floor. This AirBnB has so many “moments” or angles that are Instagram-able. This is important if you want guests to take photos and promote your AirBnB for free!
This is definitely an AirBnB for couples, and it not friendly for kids because it might be unsafe for younger kids

There was a complete laminated guide with first aid, mosquito repellent, and even an adapter, none of which was provided by our AirBnB in Florence. These hosts are very meticulous and attentive to details.

COZY LIVING AREA
Off to the side is a cozy living room that had a fireplace and TV. I love that they place used wine corks on a bulletin board and the calling cards of their recommended places! So clever!

They also have sweet notes from guests who have stayed with them. Awwww….

I love how the all white bookshelves go through the rooms and there is white space between the books instead of being too packed! This makes the place feel uncluttered and airy. Having space to breath in between books is a good tip, whether in your own space or an AirBnB.

The owners to a great job of decorating with art and color without making the space feel cluttered. It just feels homey and bright!

The antique sewing machine is a nice touch by the bright window!

For audiophiles there are turntables and records. We aren’t hipster enough to use it but we love that it’s there.

COMPLETE KITCHEN
The kitchen is just right off of the sky-lit super bright and airy dining area.

Through the doorway there is a small but super complete kitchen. We didn’t really think if we could pay to drink the wine, but it was certainly there.

There is even a little breakfast nook with folding chairs and some snacks for us. We really appreciated this! I love a good blackboard.

The kitchen was really complete with high quality cookware – not that we used it! Because we wanted to eat as much local food as we could.

There was a wonder coffee machine with instructions for use on the fridge. There were also other coffee options which is lovely.

If I wasn’t pregnant I would have loved to try the decanters – there were so many kinds. The owners obviously love wine.

BATHROOM
The bathroom was small and complete even with a bidet, toiletries and blowdryer. I love the very chic framed photos too. Most importantly it was clean!
GOING UP THE LOFT
The stairs were small but easy to use even for a pregnant lady like me, because of the secure banister.

Don’t you just love the the artsy loft? It was a little scary for TD because of the holes on the floor and just horizontal wires to keep anyone from falling.
It’s so convenient to have a half bathroom in the loft so you don’t need to go down the stairs in the middle of the night. This was super for a pregnant lady like me with a baby pushing on my bladder – making me pee so often.
The view of the high ceiling dining area from the loft.

SMALL WALK-IN CLOSET
Our stay in Pisa was so short but I loved that there was a little walk-in with so much closet space! There is even a bench to sit on while putting on our shoes. A hardworking closet is important especially for travelers that are staying a longer time.
COMFY BEDROOM
The bedroom is simple with a lovely skylight so even if it had low ceilings we did not feel claustrophobic.

The quality of the mattress and pillows were great! I was able to sleep soundly and comfortably despite my pregnant size and I’m usually very picky with pillows and beddings.

I will always have fond memories of this AirBnB. We are so happy we chose it!

If only all AirBnBs were as clean, thoughtful, meticulous and beautiful as this!
