1. NEW ROOMS
We got a room in the new wing & I really enjoyed the mindful room design & spacious balcony. I wish we were higher so our view wasn’t blocked by the palm tree. Here’s a room tour below.
FOR IMPROVEMENT:
I don’t expect perfection, but I would love to give some feedback to help the hotel improve:
💛 At this price point in a 5-star hotel, complimentary water should be given daily, not just on the first day
💛 It would just be nice to have a separation between the shower & sink area so that the floor doesn’t get wet each time we shower
💛 Used glasses & ice buckets were not cleaned by housekeeping, so I washed them every day. This is the first time I’ve encountered this in a 5-star hotel. In my experience, glasses & cups are cleaned with the room.

2. OUTDOOR POOL
Not only is it Instagrammable with free floaties but it’s really fun with a convenient restaurant right beside. You can swim, eat then float around after.
CAN BE IMPROVED: It would have been so great if the restaurant closed at 8 pm or sunset instead of 6 pm because we would have loved to be able to get some ice cream, drinks, or even a light dinner in this lovely outdoor space.
3. MISTRAL BEACH CLUB
Though it’s rocky, I love that we don’t have to travel to swim on the beach. Radisson Blu Split have their own private beach. There are free towels and beds for hotel guests. There is also a literal club with DJ & go-go dancers where for a consumable fee party people can have premium cabanas. This was a bit too noisy for us so we went to the rightmost side.
CAN BE IMPROVED: There was no warning of the number of steps needed to get down and up from the beach. It’s a lot and definitely not PWD/super-senior friendly. We tried to look for an elevator. I wonder if they have one?
4. INDOOR POOL
When the outdoor pool & beach are closed at sunset, the heated indoor pool + 2 jacuzzis are great options to continue swimming.
There is also a KID-FREE section for hot & cold plunge pools, saunas, a relaxation room & a deep relaxation room.
5. FREE SHUTTLE TO DIOCLETIAN’S PALACE
I really appreciated this so no need to pay for Uber/taxis. Super convenient. We left on the 1:45 pm & got back on the 5 pm shuttle.

See what we did in only 3hours in the old town here:
6. ROOM SERVICE TILL 11 PM
On the first night, we were too tired to go out so this was a great dining option. I enjoyed my CAESAR’S SALAD & TD & @diplobaby enjoyed the BURGER WITH FRIES.

We only do room service when we are super tired or it would be the most efficient use of our time. What about you?
7. BIG BREAKFAST BUFFET
This is the first Asian-level breakfast buffet that we’ve encountered in Europe. We were impressed with the amount of choices and the freshness. I guess because there are a lot of guests the keep replenishing. The mini croissants were a favorite.
8. THE CAPER GRILL
One of our 2 treat meals in Split. We really enjoyed their bread with truffle butter, seared scallops, Croatian wine & the Choco Triologoy dessert. We really enjoyed our dinner here. Because we swim all day till late having good dining options in the hotel was convenient for us.
9. CHOOSE-YOUR-OWN PIZZA
The choose-your-own pizza was the highlight of our experience with their dinner buffet. Segar (which means sea in India) cooked the pepperoni pizzas so well! The pizzas & the non-smoking indoor dining area were so worth eating the buffet.

Segar told us it was gonna be Asian night the next dinner with lots of our favorite Indian dishes. Too bad it was our last night already!!
10. FREE WELCOME WATER & ICE MACHINE
It’s really the little things that count. It’s summer in July & super hot so we really enjoyed the little welcome bar with fruit-infused water, sparkling & still water, plus chewy fruit candies each time we came down to the lobby.

You can see the rest of the lobby here:
Also having ice-cold sparkling water in our room by grabbing some ice in the hallway ice machine was really nice coming in from the heat.

We didn’t use the free shoe polish coz we weren’t wearing leather shoes. Nor did we use the vending machine because there was no pricing for the items.
SO IS IT WORTH IT?
We heard that Radisson Blu Split is the most expensive hotel on the island. The truth is we booked it when the prices went down on Booking.com so we felt like it was great value for money. If you can book it ahead, we highly recommend it for Split because of the convenience of all the things I mentioned above.
Remember we just wanted a very chill vacation where we can swim, eat and have fun as a family with minimum effort.
Don’t forget to SHARE or PIN THIS so you can remember for your trip to Croatia!
