JAKARTA EATS: Chung Gi Wa Korean BBQ

May 18, 2013

Another Jakarta favorite of ours is Chung Gi Wa Korean BBQ restaurant. The ingredients are fresh and the quality of the food is amazing, especially for the price. This is also great for pork-lovers like us, because the pork meat is way cheaper than beef! It’s great to eat here in a group, because its comes out cheap, even if you order beers. Ask the waitresses for what they recommend and they can help you out! The best thing is the staff cook the meat for you on your table. Service is fast and efficient. Reservation is a must, because this affordable place is always full. Also get ready to smell like BBQ after! Photos after the jump!

This place is in a hidden place. You wont see it by the side of the road. You really have to seek it out.

Hi Yoggi, As far as I know there is no buffet option because we ordered from their menu and they prepared things A La Carte. A quick google image search for Chung Gi Wa Jakarta will lead you to some photos of their menu, like this and can give you an idea of their BBQ menu prices. These portions are for sharing. I hope you get to try it sometime because it is cheaper than other good Korean options that I’ve found in Jakarta, like Born Ga.
