I finally ate at Loewy’s. Normally we go to Loewy’s for drinks and this time it was to meet with my friend Andy who used to be an expat in Manila and is now enjoying life as an expat in Jakarta. He has no complaints (only perhaps the alcohol which they never seem to have enough of LOL!) and I had so much fun catching up with him! I managed to take a few photos on my iPhone. Check it out after the jump!
It’s all in the details (I liked that there was a sieve wit the lemon to catch the seeds)
I had the fish and chips, he had the mildly spicy gurame (?) if I am not mistaken. Then I had the cafe latte and double espresso after. The servings were massive and I doubt we had any space left for dessert.
Service was good and the waiters speak english and are attentive. Understandably though at the height of the lunch traffic, one must really call out loudly “mbak” or “mas” to get the attention of the staff. It was empty at 1145am, but come 1230 it was packed! Good thing I was early. It is open air and I asked for the non-smoking area.
Aside from that everything else was great! The food and coffee was good and I definitely wanna come back to try the salad and steaks. TD will love it for sure. It was great to see Loewy’s without the beer goggles! Best of it all was the company. It’s great to be in the same country as you again Andy! Thanks so much for lunch sweety!
* Good to note for the ladies, my friend was telling me that the eye-candy is great here during lunch! Must be more observant next time. *wink*
