In the Philippines, Pho Hoa is one of our go-to restaurants for a quick but healthy meal of Pho and Spring Rolls! I am happy to say that they have something that is almost as good here in Jakarta wherein we can satisfy our Pho cravings: Vietopia.
UPDATE:
According to a commenter below this place is now closed. Yummy Thai is now the restaurant in this location. “The food was OK, not that great. Small portion and the price is very cheap.”
I’ve only been to the Senopati and Cikini Menteng branch. I have no pictures of the Menteng branch though. The small Senopati branch is tucked under this gorgeous store called Temple Trees (This store deserves a separate post!).
I spotted a store across the glass and was immediately intrigued – too bad it was closed but I promised myself that I would come back soon. I did in fact go back the next day with Kaho of Chuzai Living! Again I digress.
We started with spring rolls with hoisin sauce with crushed peanuts.
Then came the massive bowl of pho which we shared.
And the beef ribs with honey sauce which tasted great but was hard to eat with all the ligaments.
Good to know that Vietopia is around to hit the spot when hubby and get our Vietnamese cravings! Do you know of any other Vietnamese restaurants in Jakarta that you can recommend to us? I would love to hear from you! Comments are always appreciated! =D

I took my hubby and our girls to have our little family birthday celebration for him at Vietopia. Thanks to you we learned that Vietopia has a branch on Senopati. It was soon after you took us to the Temple Tree. Thanks for introducing us to Temple Tree as well!!! I didn’t realize this till we went to Vietopia in Senopati with my hubby, but I have been to Vietopia in Cikini Menteng with him. We are also a big fan of Vietnamese Pho, so the more Vietnam restaurant we know, the better for us! Our favorite Vietnamese spot is “Lang Viet” in the Wijaya Center behind the Dharmawangsa Square Shopping Mall. The third floor is apparently a gallery, but I have yet to go up there. We’ve eaten at Lang Viet 3 times and all have been positive. This is their home page. http://langvietcafe.com/ I hope you’ll like it there.
Place closed and now turned to be Yummy Thai. The food was OK, not that great. Small portion and the price is very cheap.
Thanks for the info Ailtje! Will check it out… cheap places are always handy to know for quick bites!
