To welcome friends who had just moved to Jakarta, a few friends and I got together for dinner at the Japanese resto in front in the posh Pakubuono Residences condominiums. A few pictures after the jump, which I took using my Canon point and shoot camera.
When we arrived I was surprised to find that the rest is on top of a mini grocery. We reserved room for 8-10 pax. It was a bit warm though so we had to ask the staff to adjust the AC strength.
Cute stoneware & complimentary meatball soup
Dragon Roll (L) & Ten Roll (R)
(Clockwise from left) chicken karate, prawn tempura & pancake
My deconstructed chicken katsudon haha! I dislike the thought of just having the raw egg on top, so I usually ask for the egg on the side and extra sauce on the side. They were lovely enough to oblige.
Everything was so delicious. My favorites were the maki rolls, karaage & chicken katsudon. I definitely need to go back with TD who couldn’t attend because of a meeting. Of course I forgot to take pics of everyone in the dinner! So typical of me to just take pics of only the food! LOL!
After the dinner we headed to my friends flat for drinks & after a few Black Cokes, I finally remembered to take a group pic but by that time some peeps had already gone home. Ack! =P

Speaking of Japanese Restaurant, if you are into traditional Sushi, try Sakura in Cilandak. One of the best in Jakarta!
