JAKARTA EATS: Sekitei Saturday Brunch

May 3, 2013

I have a new favorite brunch in Jakarta. It’s in my favorite Japanese Restaurant in town, Sekitei. Aside from the immense pleasure I get passing through the tree-line streets of Kebayoran Baru and going through the beautiful Dharmawangsa Hotel and Bimensena Club, high quality fresh Japanese food for Saturday brunch is just fabulous.

Authentic food with an authentic Japanese chef. Only the freshest ingredients are ever served here.

The highlight of my brunch was the wagyu fried rice, prepared fresh in front of the diners. OMG this was so yummy!14-Sekitei Saturday Brunch Dharmawangsa Hotel-013 15-Sekitei Saturday Brunch Dharmawangsa Hotel-014 16-Sekitei Saturday Brunch Dharmawangsa Hotel-015

On the dessert table, I particularly liked the green tea ice cream, traditional mochi and one made with black sesame seeds. 17-Sekitei Saturday Brunch Dharmawangsa Hotel-016

Because of it’s amazing flavor, we were able to finish it despite our full bellies. =p22-Sekitei Saturday Brunch Dharmawangsa Hotel-021 And of course, dessert!23-Sekitei Saturday Brunch Dharmawangsa Hotel-022

I love the lush greens and the flower vendors that surround the Dharmawangsa. My only regret is not buying more orchids while living so nearby. 24-Sekitei Saturday Brunch Dharmawangsa Hotel-023 25-Sekitei Saturday Brunch Dharmawangsa Hotel-024 26-Sekitei Saturday Brunch Dharmawangsa Hotel-025

The Sekitei Saturday brunch is from 11 am to 3 pm and costs Rp 325.000++/adult & Rp.225.000++/child (4-11 years old) (Inclusive of free flow of cold or hot Ocha). The quality of the food you get is amazing and well-worth the cost. So if you are looking for a weekend indulgence or a place to get-together for a long lunch with friends/family this saturday, I highly recommend Sekitei’s Saturday Brunch!

[…] Sekitei Saturday Brunch I absolutely love this Japanese brunch buffet. It’s a bit more upscale but the quality of the food is worth it. This is great if you want to do something more special. […]
