SUPERMARKET FINDS: Fresh Sushi from GrandLucky

April 28, 2011

Today I finally decided to try the sushi I’ve been eyeing at GrandLucky supermarket. I wanted to surprise TD with a Japanese dinner at home – which we’ve never really had! So I got some Salmon Sushi and some Salmon and Kani Maki. This was perfect with Pork Gyoza!

Awwww…. TD is using the Chopstick Kids I gave him. He’s never really liked eating with chopsticks before but realizes that the art of using chopsticks is a must for a Diplomat. He’s been using chopsticks (without the “kid” of course!) when we eat at Japanese or Chinese restos already (snaps for TD!) and I he’s been getting so good at it already! I suppose last night he was just lazy AND hungry already. =P

Awwww. I saw that and I thought, where can you get it?? What a good gift you gave to your hubby. I would love to get one! No, not for me. 🙂 Lovely picture, Diplo Wife! Hummmm, gyoza… You hubby must have been surprised by your thoughtful dinner. Good job!

Thanks so much for your lovely comments Kaho! It can also be for kids to teach them how to use chopsticks too! In your country when do kids start learning to use chopsticks and is there a “starter chopstick” to start em out? I’ve bought starter chopsticks for toddlers for my godchildren but I’ve always wondered how kids were really taught in Japan or China!
