Sustainable Christmas: Angels for Angels

December 10, 2020

My best friend Jenn gave me these beautiful and meaningful Angels for Angels Christmas ornaments! I love that they are upcycled Nespresso Capsules!

I want to share this effort of the Swiss Embassy here in the Philippines to upcycle used Nespress capsule! This is in partnership with Ayala Malls, Novateur Coffee Concepts Inc., Violago, and Brushstroke Creatives present Angels for Angels, a Christmas solidarity action.

It’s a great sustainable gift that is also helping charitable institutions and supporting women’s livelihood, nutrition and education.

You can get them at the Glorietta 2 Concierge or you may also order these angels via email through manila@eda.admin.ch.

For those of you who have Nespresso machines like us, if you feel bad about the daily capsule waste, you can opt to use a french press instead for daily coffee and then enjoy the nespresso on special occassions.

Luckily our building recycles, however if you do not think your building or baranggay recycles, I urge you to bring your nespresso capsules to the nearest nespresso shops as Nespresso recycles them.
