Thumbs up for Terminal3 (Soekarno Hatta Airport)

May 26, 2010

I asked my husband, how come we’ve never taken Garuda Airlines for local trips in Indonesia and I loved his answer:

“Because Air Asia uses terminal 3, which is nicer and newer.”

And it totally is.

There’s J.Co for coffee & donuts for those early morning departures (So much better than any Starbucks, Seattles, Coffeebean, etc. in my book!)

The convenience store that materializes into your vision at the exact moment you realize you forgot your tissues, hand sanitizer or whatever. And how cute is that ceiling?!?

We get a kick every time we see this cafe =P

Yup that in the far end is the last security check, where they confiscated my set of silvers because the maid didn’t hear me tell her to include “PLASTIC spoon & fork” with my wild mushroom pasta lunchbox =P

New, modern, clean and lots of light – just the way we like it.

And the very best thing?!? The Bakmi GM by the exit! Hands-down, my favorite fast food EVER. We get Nasi Ayam with Special Bakmi GM Sauce & Pangsit Goreng every single time we arrive. So cheap and saves  the effort of preparing food. A terminal 3 arrival tradition of ours.

And sometime we also indulge and buy J.PoPs baby donuts to take home. No more messy bites.

Garuda is another cheap airline? You mean LCC – Low Cost Carrier? It is incorrect to compare Garuda with Air Asia, totally different product, you don’t have to buy meals nor drinks on board and they are NOT cheap

Hi Jeffrie, you are totally right. I wrote this post when I didn’t know any better. I finally flew Garuda and figured it out but I didn’t get to update this post. Thank you for the clarification. Lemme update the post now. =) Thanks for the comment!
