After my Manila trip to attend a loved one’s wedding, I went back to Jakarta for 2 days to pick up Diplo Dog who was boarding in the Vet, to launder my clothes, bake some cupcakes and repack for Bali where I was following TD, who was there for important meetings.
I arrived in Bali tired, but happy to get some down time. Manila visits are always hectic but Bali was time to relax by the pool and enjoy the hotel. We were staying out Marriott Courtyard and I was so happy to arrive at my favorite room 5201. I love it because the balcony is right beside this magnificent tree which seems to be blooming every time we are in Bali. So I get some privacy from the opposite hotel, and there is always a lovely breeze from the beach nearby on this side of the hotel. I love afternoons reading in the balcony. The wonderful Marriott Courtyard staff, also had my oil burner ready in the room when I arrived. It was so sweet of them to keep it for me till I got back. I love burning coconut scented oil, because it makes me feel that I’m by the beach, even if the hotel is not in the beach front.
Because it is our third and possibly final stay in the hotel (I doubt we will be going back to Bali since all of TD’s meetings are done), I decided to bake cupcakes for our friends at the hotel, who have been the most accommodating and friendliest hotel staff I’ve met so far. Because of our long stays, we’ve gotten to know the nice people of Marriott Courtyard. I made banana chocolate, chocochip and chocomallow cupcakes, & brought them in ziplock bags. Then I packed boxes, ribbons and gift tags so that I could wrap them up nice and write personalized notes on them. Good thing I had my handy Swiss Card Light ready for gift wrapping!
All wrapped up and ready to go!
That’s me on the left with Christy, who I thank for always making sure that our stay in Bali is always pleasurable! Thanks so much for all the accommodation and for giving me my favorite room Christy! =)
After I delivered my gifts to Christy, Chef Sanjoy and F&B Director Geev (and their respective staffs), I ordered room service – their yummy margherita pizza and rested a bit. I always enjoy the food from MoMo Cafe, the restaurant of Marriott Courtyard. I’ll be writing more about it in another post!
It was good to be back in Bali. And I was also happy to note that after the earthquakes during the last trip, with 6.3 magnitude and several after shocks, they even added these…
But enough of earthquakes and tsunamis (thank God there were none during this visit!) it was time to enjoy Bali!
I got ready to wander around the resort to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings! I was ready to capture it too with my new macro lens. Yay!

Stay tuned for more pictures of my Bali adventures. I was getting a bit sentimental, because it is possibly our last trip to Bali. So far I am so lucky to have been able to explore Bali and live in the different areas of this big island (1xKota, 1xSeminyak, 3xNusa Dua, 2xUbud and 1xSanur) – each of which are different from each other. We were able to experience so many different things!
