Sanctuary Universal Charging Station

March 24, 2011

I love gadgets and accessories and like to write about fab gadget finds. Seeing all the amazing OC Gadget posts of OC Mom in Manila finally pushed me to get it going! Remember my Christmas gift to TD – the Sanctuary Universal Charging Station? It is a little heavy, but we realized during our last trip it weighed so much less than all our chargers combined

Another thing to consider is many hotel rooms in Indonesia provide limited sockets so we have to charge our gadgets one after another – super hassle! Bringing is another option but it weighs a lot and adds to the cornucopia of wires we already bring.

So we decided to bring our universal charging station during a trip so we could charge several gadget at the same time! No need to bring an extension cords and 3 chargers.

It’s nice because I got to use it to keep my jewelry too – so much tidier!

This time we brought only our mac chargers and DSLR charger aside from the Sanctuary. SO much lighter! Last time we had to bring 2 of those orange packing blocks just for wires and chargers.

GOOD TO KNOW:

  1. I am not talking about those containers that keep all your wires but an actual charger that is compatible to many if not most of your gadgets. The Sanctuary is compatible to about 1500 gadgets if I am not mistaken.
  2. At this cute travel shop in NAIA Terminal 3 I saw a smaller all-in-1 charger but it only charged 2 gadgets at a time…. erm definitely not enough for TD and me… or even me alone. Perhaps if it was 3-4 gadgets at a time I would consider it. Today I am in the Philippines and at the end of the night I’ve to charge my iPhone, Blackberry and the Nokia (for the local sim). I just can’t be bothered to wait for 2 to charge then hook up another one.
  3. More details on The Sanctuary and where to get it here.
  4. The orange packing block with see-through top is very useful for storing gadgets and accessories when traveling. My friend Tin gave it to me as a gift and I had to find out where I could get more: MakeRoom Philippines.

Great idea! Sanctuary seems to be a good gadget to have. Maybe I will get it for my hubby for his birthday eventually. I think it’s a good idea for you to have Diplo Gadget. I would be interested in reading about it for sure! OC Mom, you should subscribe to her blog, it’s easy! I also saw the Manila post. Sorry I haven’t had the time to leave you a comment there. Off to the Manila post.
