One of the most enjoyable things for me in Manila is walking around Salcedo village. I love the buildings, the trees and the slight breeze… Walking to lunch with my best friend, I am also reminded me of the days we used to walk our dog to the park and all the cute pooches coming out to play at 5pm just as the sun is setting and the day is getting cooler.
As I was walking home, I noticed that the soil of the trees were all dried up. I was a bit alarmed. I wonder if they are being watered regularly? Or if any extra care is being given to them, what with the El Niño and all? And I hope that the trees are resilient enough to survive this “drought.”
