Ever since I started my journey towards luxurious minimalism or MinimaLUXE, I realized it’s better to have fewer but better things. This doesn’t mean ALL your things should be expensive, but you must at least love everything you have in your space.

One way to do this without breaking the bank is to start with one really amazing piece. In a recent workshop I attended we were given the tip to invest in one really good piece. And I totally agree. This is great to keep in mind when you go to a beautiful store like West Elm in it’s newest location in BGC. Our homes don’t need to look like a showroom, but we can choose one really amazing thing to start with. I’ve always admired their scandi, mid-century modern and gold-tone pieces on their online store (USA), so it’s cool to find them in BGC’s Central Square Mall. DiploBaby is totally loving this chair, and I am loving the white vases and pots right beside him. This tot has good taste and walks like a boss in the store, with his Hamley’s loot. LOL.

This rose gold pot is totally on my DiploLustList! I’d really love to know where they got the plants with the perfect plastic liners, though!
