During our stay in Discovery Shores Boracay, we didn’t really plan on going anywhere. The resort has really good food and so beautiful, it’s a place where you just stay with your family/kids and enjoy the lovely space.
But TD found out that there is a place with good Fish & Chips nearby. TD was born in London and did his University and Masters in the UK. We tried to go for lunch but it was closed so we made reservations for dinner.

It’s not beach side so we looked for White House & you need to go in the side alley to the left and walk a few meters to find Los Indios Bravos.

I liked the interiors which had photos of our brave Filipino forefathers.

It’s a great pub with lots of beers on tap.

It’s a bit dark so they provide cute lamps for the menus.

THE SIMPLE MENU

We had to order beer of course!

The Oysters Rockefeller were super delicious!

The Fish n’ Chips lived up to it’s hype!
The surprise hit of the evening was the baby back ribs!

Los Indios Bravos is translated as “The Brave Filipinos” and the art around the resto reflected that. It was really quite interesting! Read more about them here.
It is an association that consists of Filipino writers in European countries. The purpose of this group is to write poems, stories and newspaper articles showing the current condition of the Philippines in the hands of the Spaniards and friars. They wanted people to be aware of the cruel and terrible treatment of those Spaniards towards their fellow Filipinos. Also, its other goal is for every Filipino to have an education and the likes of Rizal to grant reforms from Spain.
UNVEILING RIZAL
The food was delicious and the only point for improvement that I can recommend is that the staff get more training on how to compute PWD and Senior Citizen’s Discount fairly. My husband got very frustrated with this, but personally, I would for the food!
A WARNING
On the way home – and usually every sunset – we encountered many sellers that try to entice children with their colorful toys. Normally we do not buy but one guy was super insistent and when he convinced DiploBaby to try this toy, my son was in love.
We don’t mind paying the high price (they are probably selling it for 5-10x the price in Divisoria) but it broke almost immediately and the guy refused to replace it. I think it’s only fair that they replace something if it breaks withing 24 hrs. I will never buy from such a seller again and I warn other against it.
Up next is a Boracay classic: the Cheese Pizza of Two Seasons Boracay!
