One of our good ol’ faithfuls in Manila is a small restaurant in the basement of the Rockwell Powerplant Mall. The food is consistently good, the service fast and the prices quite reasonable. We always order the same dishes whenever we go. Pictures after the jump!
One doesn’t really go here for the ambiance, but it’s not that bad. Just very basic, like an old Japanese Ramen house.
And our favorite thing to order here is the Gyudon. We ask for 1) the beef to be well done 2) the egg to be fried separately and 3) for extra gyudon sauce. YUMMY!!!
And last but not the ls the fresh mango shake that TD has to have, whenever he is in the Philippines. Nothing tastes like Philippine mango in our books!

I know that Japanese restaurant in Rockwell! We lived 5 years in Makati as expats. Our favorite Japanese restaurant area is little tokyo: 250 pesos sashimi bento was our favorite in Seryna!
